Overview:
The world around us is lost, and when we look at the numbers it's
overwhelming. In Brazoria County alone, there are over 113,000 lost
people. Sadly, the church today is having a decreasing impact on
those numbers. What can we do about it? For starters, we need to
understand what it was that made the early church so impactful.
Instead of asking the trendy question, "What would Jesus do?"
we need to ask the more important and relevant question, "What
did Jesus do?" During this course, you will study the Word
of God, primarily the gospels and the book of Acts, and look to
see what Jesus did during his ministry on earth. Each week you will
be given a series of Scripture passages to study and you'll be asked
to answer five questions with regard to those passages: What do
the verses teach us about man? What do the verses teach us about
God? What do the verses teach us about engaging the harvest? What
would you need to change in your ministry in order to obey these
verses? What do you think the results would be if you made these
changes?
