My name is Chuck Beem, and I'm the Discipleship & Missions Pastor here at FBC Brazoria.

My heart for ministry is best expressed in Psalm 71, particularly in verse 18: "Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your might to all who are to come." Having come to know Jesus in my late 20's, I vividly remember what it's like to be lost. It's clear to me where my family and I would be had I not had a life-changing encounter with Christ. Jesus changed me, my wife, our marriage, and our children. This is what I passionately want the world to know--God cares and He wants to change them and have a personal relationship with them!

The world around us is lost, and growing more and more lost every day. I have a burden for seeing the church move outside its walls to make a difference in the world by declaring God's power to the next generations. My prayer is that we would obedient to the Great Commission in being Jesus' witnesses to all the people in our Jerusalem, our Judea, our Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
