Why
Sunday School Exists: Sunday
School at First Baptist Church of Brazoria exists to fulfill
the Great Commission given by Jesus in Matthew 28:19-20
(ESV): "Go therefore and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and
of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe
all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you
always, to the end of the age." To be obedient to
His instructions, Sunday School focuses on three main
tasks: Reaching, Teaching, and Minstering.
What
Sunday School is... and What it is not...
1.
Sunday School is not an organization...it's an organism.
2. Sunday School is not a program...it's a ministry.
3. Sunday School is not an event to attend..it's an
army to mobilize.
4. Sunday School is not a meeting in a room...it's
a mechanism to accomplish our mission.
5. Sunday School is not just a Sunday morning happening...it's
the church happening 24-7.
6. Sunday School is not a social club to attend...it's
a cause to activate!
