What We Believe

There is one and only one living and true God and He reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. God is all-powerful and all-knowing; and His perfect knowledge extends to all things, past, present, and future, including the future decisions of His free creatures. To Him we owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience.

The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired by God and is the record of God’s revelation of Himself to man.  It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. Therefore, all Scripture is totally true and trustworthy.

Mankind was created by the special act of God, in His own image. By his free choice, man sinned against God and brought sin into the human race; thus every person is a sinner. Only the grace of God can bring a person into His holy fellowship and enable that person to fulfill the creative purpose of God.

Salvation is the result of the death of Jesus Christ on the cross and His subsequent resurrection.  Salvation involves the redemption of the whole person and is a gift offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  The proper response of every believer to salvation is passionately pursuing Christ in every aspect of life, and worshiping and serving Him with his entire being.

A New Testament church is the body of Christ in a community and is made up of individuals who have placed their faith in Christ for the forgiveness of sin and have been baptized by immersion as a symbol of their faith. This church is an autonomous body under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

God, in His own time and in His own way, will bring the world to its appropriate end.

It is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ and of every church of the Lord Jesus Christ to endeavor to make disciples of all nations.  As a church, we endeavor to share the message of salvation with all people, regardless of race, ethnicity, or economic status in our local community and throughout the world.
